Work in Schools

Are you interested in working in a school setting? There is more to schools than simply teaching. There are many other positions within a school that make them tick and a success.

Maybe you have children yourself, and the convenience of working term time only appeals to you. Maybe you’ve always liked the idea of developing and helping young people and being part of a team. Maybe both. Either way working in schools could be right up your street.

This training will give you a great first step in working in schools and towards a compelling future you can be excited about.

The training consists of the following


Level 1 Award in Preparing to Work in Schools
Level 1 Award in Skills for Work | Work Experience/Preparation
Level 1 & 2 English & Maths
Level 1 Award in Understanding Safeguarding in Education and Childcare

Face to face

How it’s structured

6 week programme
4 weeks learning
2 week work experience
End of programme interview

Do you fit the bill?

  • 16-24 years old or 25 with a EHCP
  • Claiming benefits* or unemployed or working part time
  • Not already in any education
  • Lived in the UK for at least 3 years

* The programme will not affect your benefits, notification can be given to your work coach and you will be allowed by your work coach the time to complete your training and work experience.
